Finding Counselling That Fits Your Life

Choosing a therapist involves practical questions as well as personal ones. Can you attend regularly? Would you feel more comfortable meeting in a counselling room or speaking from home? What would you like to know about the person you’ll be working with?

For clients travelling from Moreton-in-Marsh, our Upper Rissington practice offers a dedicated space for face-to-face appointments, with free parking outside the building. You can view photographs of the room on our practice page before arranging your first visit.

Lots of our clients come from rural and farming communities and we understand that isolation is a real problem. We can help you if this is something you are experiencing, and be flexible to suit your needs. Our diaries change every week in order to support you.

Online counselling is another option if travelling would make regular sessions difficult. You’ll need somewhere private where you can speak freely. We can discuss both options during your initial telephone assessment.

Counselling and Psychotherapy Near Moreton-in-Marsh

People come to Therapy Partnership for all sorts of reasons. Some are facing a particular difficulty, while others have spent years feeling that something isn't quite right.

We work with a range of experiences, including:

  • Anxiety, stress and burnout: When worry, pressure or exhaustion begins to affect everyday life.

  • Relationship difficulties: Whether you're struggling to communicate, feeling disconnected or trying to understand recurring conflicts. Issues around money, sex and intimacy or trust, can make relationships very hard, and often remain unsaid between partners.

  • Bereavement and loss: Finding space for grief, including losses that other people may not fully understand.

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences: Exploring how earlier experiences may continue to affect your relationships, emotions and sense of self.

  • ADHD, autism and neurodiversity: Making sense of your experiences in a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming environment. We work hard to meet you where you are, and hopefully provide a space where you feel you can unmask.

  • Difficult family relationships: Understanding boundaries, longstanding patterns and emotionally complicated family dynamics.

You don't need to know which category fits you. We can explore that together during your initial assessment.

Although we aren't based in Moreton itself, we regularly welcome enquiries from people across the North Cotswolds who are looking for a comfortable and confidential space for counselling.

Sometimes having your therapy sessions a little away from home can be a positive thing. It can offer a sense of privacy and an opportunity to step away from familiar surroundings, even if only for an hour.

Taking the First Step

It's completely understandable to feel uncertain about starting counselling. You might have questions about how it works, whether it's right for you, or what you would even say in a first session.

That's why we offer a free 30-minute telephone assessment.

It's an opportunity to tell us a little about what's been happening, ask any questions you have and get a sense of how we might work together.

There's no obligation to book ongoing sessions. What matters is finding the right support for you.

You can choose an available assessment appointment using our online booking form.
